My web-development journey started 5 years ago with online courses: html, css, JS from treehouse, codecademy, ...
But in march 2021 it really took off with an official course through VDAB. There I learned most of the skills that I use today: php, MySQL and a better understanding for JS, html, css.
One of the main topics and also a very important one, was OOP programming and the use of the MVC-model. Which helped a lot in understanding modern frameworks. Other aspects were data analyses and a grouped scrum project for 6 weeks.
I have been doing online courses for React, Nextjs, Symfony (SymfonyCasts) and Laravel (Laracasts).
My objective for the future is creating highly functional webapps with modern technologies. I'm learning Symfony at the moment and want to be able to use it professionally. Sharing knowledge, writing readable code, let others learn and learn from others, are a few of the main goals I have set for myself so I can better myself as a person and mostly as a developer.
I'm employed by Peleman since March 2022 as a backend-developer. Where I mostly work on the backend functionalities and databases for an in-house editor to personalise products.
The technologies I use are php, JS, Bootstrap, jQuery, MySQL, NodeJS,...
